Hi friends! We celebrated Amelia’s 2nd birthday at the end of May so I know this post is long overdue, but I still wanted to share her party details on here. Since we’ve been loving butterflies lately and even grew caterpillars into butterflies at home, it was fitting for Amelia’s birthday theme this year!
Balloon Arch
We had the birthday party at our community rec center so I kept the balloon arch simple. Since I couldn’t use thumb tacks or anything to damage the walls, I used painters tape and put mini command hooks on top of the tape to secure the balloon arch. I used these balloons for the arch and got these pretty butterfly balloons that Amelia loved!
Butterfly Craft
We had a painting craft for the kids so they had something fun to do during the party. I made sure to put a table cover on first. I got these wooden butterflies and wooden bugs from Target!
I also got these butterfly wings for the kids to wear and play with. They also got to take these home as a a party favor!
Butterfly Cake & Cookies
The birthday cake was a huge hit, it was from our local cake bakery in town and it was delicious. How beautiful are these cookies! The cookies are custom made from a friend of mine. If you’re local to the Denver area and need custom cookies, check her out here! I ended up using these gold foil butterflies from Amazon to put on her cake.
Outfits
Both Sophia and Amelia wore matching dresses from Old Navy. My lilac purple dress was perfect for her party, I loved the color and the length of it. I got a size small.
We had the best time celebrating with friends and family! I can’t believe my Amelia is already TWO. I loved how everything turned out and the butterfly theme is so fun and sweet for little girls. Thanks for reading!
