I enjoy celebrating Easter every year, when spring is in the air and summer is around the corner! I loved putting together Sophia’s Easter basket and thought I’d share what I got for her!
Whether you’re attending church service or decorating Easter eggs, it’s a fun time to get the family together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. I love any holiday that involves gift giving and Easter is perfect to put together an Easter themed basket that is easy, fun, and creative.
You really can’t go wrong with Easter baskets for your little ones. I put together a basket for my 17 month old, and hope you can get some ideas and inspiration for your toddlers!
Sophia’s Basket
Sophia’s Easter basket is from Pottery Barn Kids. I got it last year when it was on sale. They always have their Easter baskets and covers go on sale when the holiday is over.
I also got Sophia’s basket cover embroidered since I plan to use this basket for many more years to come! If you’re looking for something more affordable, Target has the cutest Easter baskets as well.
I wanted to add practical items that Sophia could wear for the spring and summer. I included a swimsuit, rain boots, and a bunny shirt, all of which are from Target. And the pajamas are from Old Navy which had lots of Easter themed attire for boys and girls!
I tried to steer away from candy this year since I’d be the one eating it all (I’ve had such a sweet tooth this pregnancy). Instead, I included fruit snacks that Sophia will love.
I also incorporated some fun activities that we could do together. Right now – she loves coloring/scribbling, playing with bubbles, and reading books. I included a Mess Free Coloring book, Little Blue Truck book, bubbles, bunny ears, and a Little People toy.
Other Things You Can Include For Toddlers
The Target Dollar Spot is great for filling up your little ones Easter basket. Here are other things that you can include: bows, side walk chalk, sunglasses, Easter stickers, play doh, gardening set, touch and feel flash cards, wooden puzzles, and Easter book.
Easter Basket Ideas for Babies
Here is Sophia’s Easter basket from last year when she was 6 months old! I included her favorite pacifiers, silicone bibs, short sleeve onesies, a bunny book, baby swimsuit, a carrot teether, Nuby popsicle molds (can be used to freeze breast milk or fruit smoothies), and baby Easter eggs.
I got everything from Target and Amazon. I miss Sophia this little, where she would sit still and let me take photos of her. Now that she’s older – I’m excited to do an Easter egg hunt in our backyard!
