If you know me, you know that I love holiday traditions! Experiencing the holidays through my daughters eyes gives me so much joy. As they get older each year, it feels even more special to experience these traditions as a family!
I’m excited to share Sophia’s Christmas book nook with you all! I always look forward to putting seasonal books on Sophia’s floating shelves in her room. I wanted to utilize this reading corner by making it cozy yet simple. I’ve decided to make this a little tradition to put out all of the holiday books on display so that my girls can read them leading up to Christmas.
Most of these books are from my classroom library, and some books are new. I found them at TJ Maxx and they were less than $5.99 each. Every year, I buy a few new holiday books to add to our collection.
The reindeer banner set and pink heart pillow are from TJ Maxx. The Oh What Fun pillow is Sophia’s favorite and is from Target. And the white pillow is from Hobby Lobby.
Sophia is my little bookworm, and she loved how it turned out. Her eyes lit up when she saw her Christmas book nook today and it made my mama heart happy! She is 3 years old and is always asking to read books together. Although we go to the local library often, it’s nice to have a collection of our own books that my girls will read for many years to come!
I’m looking forward to the month of December! I have lots of fun Holiday activities planned for my girls like advent calendars, writing letters to Santa, crafts, gingerbread house and cookie decorating, and several more.
What are some other Christmas traditions that you enjoy doing with your family? I’d love to know in the comment section below!
